Elana

Elana is a fashion brand founded by designer Elana Kattan. The company specializes in creating beautifully crafted clothing and accessories for women who seek fashionable, flattering styles.

I was asked to develop a brand identity for the company that would reflect the energy and creativity of their apparel and accurately convey Elana's vision for the brand. The new branding is intended to help the company stand out in the fashion industry and connect with customers who share their aesthetic and values.

The geometric lines of the logo provide a sharp contrast to the flowing curves of the clothing, creating a sense of balance, unity, and variety in the overall design. The modular nature of the logo allows it to be reshaped, rearranged, and abstracted to form the basis of a comprehensive brand system. This provides a flexible and dynamic visual environment for showcasing the fashion models and clothing.

 
 
 
 

↑ Inverting the imagery beneath the logo elements creates visual tension and intrigue, drawing the viewer in and stimulating their interest. This added layer of contrast and interaction with the photography enhances the overall design and keeps it engaging.

↓ The "E" of the logo can be isolated and used on its own as a mnemonic device, creating a distinctive and memorable visual focal point. This allows the logo to be used in a variety of contexts and ensures that the brand remains recognizable and distinctive.
